Since 1970
The sign changed. The building did not.
Fifty five years of loading trucks out of the same yard on Surby Ave, for whatever Southwest Michigan was celebrating that weekend.
Who you are calling
A family rental company, not a chain.
People still call us Grand Rental. That is fine. It was the name on the building for most of the years we have been here, and the answer to your question has not changed with the sign: yes, we probably have it, and yes, we can get it to you.
What we do is unglamorous and it is the whole job. We keep 13,000 items clean, counted and ready. We load them in the right order so the tent goes up before the tables come off the truck. We stake into Michigan ground that is frozen in March and soaked in April. And we answer the phone, which sounds like nothing until you have spent a week trying to reach somebody about a chair count.
If you want to see the linens in person before you commit, come by. Most people do. We are behind Continental Bakery, in the old Barney Glass building.
How it went
Fifty five years, told honestly.
The yard opens
Battle Creek gets a rental company. Tables, chairs, and the kind of equipment a homeowner needs once and will not buy.
Tents change the business
Once you can put a roof over a lawn, a backyard becomes a venue. Graduation season stops being a weekend and becomes a six week sprint.
Inflatables, sound and staging
Bounce houses, PA systems, projectors and lighting. School fun fairs and church festivals start booking the whole package in one call.
13,000 items and a venue of our own
Grand Rental becomes All You Need Rental. Same family, same yard, same phone number, plus a room on Surby Ave you can rent when the guest list outgrows the backyard.
Why one call matters
Three vendors is three chances for the delivery windows not to line up.
The reason a rental company with 13,000 items is worth something is not the number. It is that the tent, the tables, the linens, the warmers, the speaker and the cord all arrive on one truck, from one crew, against one invoice, on one schedule.
When something is missing at 4pm on a Saturday, there is one number to call, and somebody at that number knows which truck your order went out on.
What people say
The moment you walk in, you feel the care and passion the owner has for creating a memorable experience.
Truly an amazing service. We had to get something put together last minute, like in a few days, and we got set up immediately. The owner is extremely friendly and the employees who set up for us were incredibly nice.
Come look at it in person.
The showroom is on Surby Ave, behind Continental Bakery. Bring your guest count and we will size it with you.
